In depth: In the Zone, the Zone Riders approach an installation full of Zoners. They've been through a long battle and must conserve energy. They've fought their way to the generator and the Black Widows are closing in. Ned is in Eagle and races to join them. Ben and Max are tasked with destroying the generator. Rawmeat, Dire and the rest of the Widows ride in as Ned blasts their tanks into scrap. Reaper and Razorback make it through and must intercept the Riders headed to the generator. Ben and Max run into Sledge Hammer tanks on their approach to the Generator, but Eagle scares off Intruder and the others as Ben blasts it. Max is distressed - that the Zoners kept firing and firing and he couldn't do anything. Max on Eagle says he's never been through a fight like that before. As the Zone Riders prepare to head home, they get urgent orders from M.C.C. to go to Northern India, as Overlord has built a massive secret base there. Dr. Laurence believes Overlord can "beam" the zone via satellite to anywhere in the world. Courage thinks they can squeak by with a power charge from Eagle on their vehicles and backpacks but it won't last long. The Zone Riders are on their way.

Bandit and Overlord prepare to test their power transmitter in secret. Bandit replies that the final weapon is working perfectly. Overlord plans to strike without warning - and that the whole world will be theirs. The Zoner at the controls reports the Zone Riders are approaching. 10 minutes out from the target, Reaper and Bandit are aboard Intruder. Eagle spots them and must try to land, as they don't have the power to fight them off. The plane is hit and Max is worried. Bandit radios Overlord to say the Zone Riders are finished.

Eagle crash lands, and the Zone Riders parachute out and they must salvage the vehicles out of the plane. Some of the vehicles are destroyed and the backpacks are all crushed except for one Zone Runner. Dirk apologizes to Max that they have to go fight so soon again. Kat and Hiro get the last stuff off the plane before it blows. The only chance to survive is to destroy the generator. Courage says if they run out of power in their suits, they'll be zoned. The only good news is that they don't know that the Zone Riders are coming. Rimfire breaks down and overheats. Tank must fix the coolant line. When he drops the wrench, Max is jumpy. Kat reports that Max is suffering from combat fatigue. Kat says to keep the pressure off him and hope for the best.

Overlord's test goes well and he prepares to transmit. The Zone Riders spot the transmitter moving into position. Their focus must now be to destroy the transmitter first. Courage splits up the team into assignments, with Max as backup in case something goes wrong. Ben, Kat and Ned attack immediately. Overlord is shocked to see them, and sends Bandit to deal with them and orders all Zoners to protect the generator and transmitter. Courage stops Razorback handily but is shot at heavily. Courage sets the charges while Tank covers him. Dirk tosses the bombs and retrieves a remote from his right hand pocket. There's not enough power to trigger the detonator and Tanks' suit power fails as Tank is zoned. All over the Zone Riders are running out of power as the Black Widows attack. Kat's suit is running out of power also, and she causes a wreck among the others when she is disoriented. Crook takes out the Zone Riders as they are zoned. Hiro runs on foot to the generator but cannot make it, collapsing and becoming zoned himself. Max is the only one left and is under heavy assault. Dirk orders him to destroy the transmitter and generator, even though he is zoned. The Black Widows destroy Max's backpack and he is on foot, evading massive amounts of fire power. Max fires at the Zone Generator's joints with his needler. Without enough power, he grabs zoner rifles and destroys a support, destroying the microwave power link and the generator. Dirk, now dezoned has Max to round up everyone else while he and Tank blow the transmitter. Overlord orders a fall back to Intruder.

At M.C.C., Dr. Laurence has a new microwave jammer so that Overlord can't try his plan again. Dirk says the credit belongs entirely to Max Jones.

Notes: A contradiction to an earlier episode occurs here - previously it was established that electrical power wasn't needed to make the suits work and here it is. Perhaps the electrical field run through the Neutron-90 crystals protect them, hence the electrical charge when they enter the zone?

What do we learn? Paris, London, Moscow and New York had unzoned regions previous to Overlord's transmission.

Goof ups: Kat lands almost immediately via parachute, but then everyone else takes longer to land once they bail out.

Quotable Quotes: " At last, I am ruler of the entire world!" - Overlord
