In depth: In the zone, Overlord fashions a false Zone Rider suit and has repaired a crashed Zone Rider Cycle. He even has a radio jammer that will jam a host of frequencies including the Zone Riders. He believes the Zone Riders will never suspect his plan.

At M.C.C., Dr. Laurence shows off a new adhesive you can attach to four inches of steel, activate and it will burn through. Overlord then appears on the screen. He tells Dr. Laurence there has been a nuclear explosion in the Pacific Northwest Zone at the Shonto Nuclear Power Station. Overlord demands classified information on the plant, otherwise half the world is doomed. Tank suspects he is lying. McFarland wants to have the Zone Riders inspect the facility, but Overlord will not allow it. He says they'll be expecting a battle, so they'll never suspect what they are really up to.

In the briefing room, McFarland shows the holographic map of the area, which is rugged and perfect for a trap. Dr. Laurence is worried about a meltdown, so they must check it out. Hiro takes point as they ride out to the Shonto station. Crook keeps an eye out for the rest of the Black Widows. Rawmeat spots them first and Bandit follows them as well, reporting they are in the Southfork Canyon. Overlord commands that they keep Hiro in sight. Overlord commands that Reaper and Razorback commence firing. They attack, and the Zone Riders fan out. Hiro curses himself for leading the Riders into a trap. Overlord then jams all transmissions. Tucker tries his radio, as well as Tank to no effect.

Overlord then tells Bandit to begin the plan. Ben and Max are together, and try to get together with Kat. Dirk signals to Kat with hand signs to gather together. The message is passed along to Max and Ben. Hiro is pinned down however. Bandit then calls a cease fire. Hiro makes a break for it, but Bandit uses the shoulder missile launcher which destroys his cycle. He disappears entirely, and Ben wants to go make them pay, as they think Hiro is dead. Reaper on the ridge commands them to fire down on the group. Courage has them aim at a vulnerable part of the cliff and down they go. On cycles, Tucker is knocked off but regains his ride. As they charge forward, they encounter many zoners. They've got to go through them!

Suddenly Hiro appears on his cycle and rejoins them. It is actually Duchess Dire in disguise! Overlord commands her to bring them in. Meanwhile the real Hiro has regained consciousness. Hiro notices there are seven - and that someone is impersonating him. Since his comlink is out, he needs to communicate with them. He then rides his Grappler backpack to catch up. Bandit radios that the Zone Riders just passed. Hiro sport a Sledge Hammer tank coming, so Hiro hides and launches a smoke bomb which makes Razorback stop while the Grappler grabs him. Hiro removes the Widow's helmet as Rawmeat stuns him. But Hiro is pretending, and incapacitates Rawmeat, stealing his tank.

Dire continues to lead them into the containment building. Dirk orders Max to stay outside in case of visitors. As they enter, Dire calls the Black Widows. Max sees two Hiros, firing at each other as the rest of the team finds there is no accident or meltdown. The door closes and they know it's a trap. Overlord demands their surrender. Courage uses OptaScan to locate Overlord. If they do not surrender, they must lay down their weapons. Crook is walking down to the lower level when he sees the real Hiro. Overlord runs to help, as Courage sees his chance to get through the door. They turn all their needlers on to the door, as a stray blast hits the comlink jammer. Overlord runs out the back way as Hiro is to find a switch to open the door. Hiro can only open the door manually as it is sealed shut. Using Dr Laurence's new explosive, they melt through the door in no time.

Reunited as a team, the Zone Riders go out to destroy the generator. As the hit it, the zone recedes as Overlord and crew retreat to their plane. Dirk notes that they freed a reactor and all the people. Hiro thinks he failed the team, but they talk to him about working together.

Items Noticed: None.

Notes: Note the mushroom cloud effect of the exploding generator - a better studio is at work on this one.

What do we learn? Nuclear power is still in wide use in 2007.

Goof ups: None apparent.
