In
depth: Dr. Laurence calls Commander Courage in to request
Corporal Anastasia be transferred to M.C.C. Labs as his chief
assistant. It would mean a promotion and a new Zone Rider.
Kat seems cool to the idea but accepting. In Dr. Laurence's
lab, Tucker comes to talk to Laurence about Kat's field capability
. A brief flashback to another episode occurs in which she
fights Duchess Dire. Then, another flashback as Tucker wonders
if he's being heard.
Later Max and Tank come in to make their case on Kat's intelligence,
with a flashback to "The Mind of Gideon Rorshak".
Another flashback to the same episode occurs. Tank says they
would be lost without Kat's quick thinking. They then flashback
to "The Secret of Shadow House". Tank says when
it comes to being a Zone Rider, Kat is the "Right Man
for the Job." Ben Franklin comes to talk with Dr. Laurence
also, with Hiro. Hiro explains she can do things no other
Zone Rider can do. A flashback occurs to "Way of the
Samurai". Dr. Laurence admits she is useful, but he needs
someone in the field who knows the Zone. Ben suggests himself
as a replacement instead. Dirk comes to visit the Doctor also.
Dirk says she has something more than capability and knowledge.
Then a flashback to "???" is shown. Dr. Laurence
says he thought Dirk would like to see Kat protected in a
safer assignment, but Dirk says he has too much respect for
her abilities. Dirk comes to ask Kat if she really wants to
do this. Dirk reports Laurence has withdrawn the offer. In
a rather un-Russian like display, Kat hugs the commander,
telling him how happy she is, but quickly regains her composure.
Later at a briefing, Courage tells the Zone Riders about their
next assignment, but even this is another clip. Dirk remembers
the exchange with Kat and their romantic tension - both knowing
until this ordeal is over, neither can act on their feelings.
Courage leaves the conference room alone once more.
Items
Noticed: I've noticed clips episodes suck.
Notes:
None.
What
do we learn? Next to nothing, as it's a clips episode.
Goof
ups: There's some kind of audio glitch in the flashback to
"Gideon Rorshak" in which the spy keeps moving her
lips but not saying anything. Not sure if it's the DVD or
the originals.
