Episode Notes

In depth: Overlord prepares an EMP bomb that disrupts electrical circuitry, and wants to test it using the Zone Riders. When lured into the Zone, their equipment is rendered useless by the bomb. After retreating, they attempt to make use of 1930's technology left over in the bush. With the help of the Aboriginees, the Zone Riders learn new techniques for using ancient weaponry. Tank and Max assemble a vacuum tube radio to tell MCC where to drop supplies in the Outback, Properly resupplied, they destroy the Zone Generator with little difficulty.

Items Noticed: Dirk fires the Rimfire cannon after flipping up a cover on the trigger - realism is so important to SPIRAL ZONE, the weapons even have safeties.

Standard defense riding pattern for Zone Riders is a "Diamond" shape.

In this episode, the Zone Riders transport, the Eagle, is destroyed by Reaper.

Intruder makes another appearance here.

Overlord's plans seem logical, it's his ineffective team that messes them up.

Dirk Courage's Native American ancestry is mentioned in this episode - his toy file recalls he is descended from Tecumseh.

What do we learn? Oceanica is an island nation near Australia (perhaps analogous to Macronesia.)

It is the Neutron-90 itself that protects from the Zone, without electrical power. The suits are without power after the EMP pulse yet retain their protective properties. Based on the fact that they had to quickly retreat from the Zone, it is unknown how long life support functions could continue minus power however.

The Zone Riders suits without armor appear a bit different than the toy versions, especially Dirk Courages suit. Max, Tank and Hiro's suits appear the most similar.

Goof ups: Aboriginees, although smaller than normal, appear Caucasian with no tribal markings and speak excellent English (unaffected by an Australian accent!)

Quotable Quotes: "What are we gonna use against the Zoners? Harsh language?" - Max

How to Speak Tank: "Himmel!" - Heavens! "Dummkopf!"- Idiot "Wunderbar"- Wonderful!
